It's Summer!! Time for Memories & More

Hi everyone - summer has arrived and hoping you are making plans to enjoy it with your family and friends. Stay safe in your travels and make some time during each day to write down the fun (and not so fun) things you did  - so great to look back on the highlights of each day and it makes it so easy when you are ready to scrapbook your trip or event!

My July Newsletter is all about making sure you can keep up with your "Memories & More" with Stampin' Up! and their new line of memory keeping products. They are all laid out for you on pages 190 - 193 in the 2017-2018 Annual Catalogue. Lots of picture ideas too! They are super reasonable so you can pick up more than one - I've already got the Perfect Days Card Pack featured in my newsletter to take with me on my travels so I can add to my albums when I get the chance. Take a look at all the products I can choose from in this pack - and some ideas from the SU artists!

The cards are perfect for a quick card too when you need to celebrate someone's special day while you are away . . . bring some  pre-cut to card size Whisper White Cardstock with you and some envelopes (or even better a pack of Notecards & Envelopes) and you are ready for the unexpected! I can fit what I need in a 12" x 12" paper tote which lies flat and out of the way until I am ready to create.

Here's a couple of the other Card Packs for you to see - there is so much in each pack - it's no wonder I can use them for more than scrapbook pages! Love the colours and sticker sheets in the Color Theory Packs :-) and the Petal Garden set is so pretty! Did you notice that SU lists their colours (under the catalogue item) that coordinate with your choice so you can easily add ribbons, embellishments, inks and cardstock that will always go with your card or pages!

Click here to shop now or let me know what you'd like me to add to your next order!

Back to packing for my next camping trip!

Happy Stamping!

(Inter) National Scrapbook Day - Saturday May 6th

Hi everyone - oh, my I have been so busy working at the Elections BC local office that April went whizzing by and we are now into May . . . and tomorrow is a special day for everyone to remember to tell our stories and print our pictures so others can see what we are doing, where we have been and what is special in our lives!  (I am working for the final Advance Voting Day or I would invite you to play with me!)

Here's a really quick layout I did (digitally with Project Life) while camping on Easter weekend - it was the best way to highlight the blue sky days and the daffodils that mean Easter in our home! I was so busy adding pictures I forgot to add a text box - I'll fix that later!

Project Life and Stampin' Up! have so many ways to help you get your pictures onto pages, along with the stories that make the layouts so special for everyone to enjoy - and now you can get some of the retiring Project Life products at sale prices so click on my link and shop away! You'll be glad you did and your families will love that you made some time to showcase their events!

I was so happy to be part of the Honour House fundraiser on April 22nd - 42 wonderful stamping friends came together along with 4 of my best demonstrator friends (Alison Solven, our organizer,  Liane Binder, Melva Peters, and Ange McKay) and raised over $3600 for Honour House - check out their story here! It's a wonderful way to give back to those who spend their lives being on the front line for all of us . . .

I used the Dragonfly Dreams Stamp Set and framelits - here is a picture of my storyboard and the card we made, along with a couple of close up samples for you to try at home - love that set and the Inside the Lines Designer Paper from Sale-a-Bration.  And I just might have a few sheets left so I can give you some to try your own designs - just mention you saw this comment on my blog next time you are at one of my events!

So many awesome card ideas for this set - don't forget to pick it up before the end of May so you get the bundled pricing - it will be in the new catalogue releasing June 1st, but not as a bundled set.

Click here to get the set now!!

The background for the bees below was made by swiping my So Saffron ink pad over some small bubble wrap - makes a really neat background for the bees. Then I added some "Gorgeous Grunge" splotches in Crushed Curry and Basic Grey - this stamp set is retiring so order it before May 22nd so you know you will have it! For sure it is staying in my personal collection - it's so versatile! This card is all about the stamping - no Big Shot or other tools needed - sometimes "simple" cards make a big impact!
Here's another example of using the Dragonfly Dreams set - and some fun sponging on the Inside the Lines DSP. I can set up a special fun time for you and your friends to enjoy some stamping, make a few cards and share lots of laughs as you craft together - let me know what times work best and it's a date!

Until next time when I do some more catching up - Happy Stamping!

Sharing some card ideas with you - cause when it snows outside you can create inside!

Hi everyone - it's been snowing again in the Metro Vancouver area and where we live in Maple Ridge we have had snow most days in March - definitely come in like a Lion so hoping it goes through the month very quietly and then out like a lamb . . . we've definitely had our share of snow this winter and are more than ready for our spring lowers to pop up (any day now!). We are so not used to this kind of weather on the West Coast - so laugh away the rest of Canada!

Today I am sharing some cards my Make it Monday group made in February - featuring these products from our Annual Catalogue - Floral Boutique DSP and Washi Tape . . . .

from the Occasions Catalogue comes Urban Underground DSP and Embellishments for the guys in your life  . . . .
and finally Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits Dies paired with Inside the Lines DSP - a free item with your qualifying orders during Sale-a-Bration (ask me how!) and complemented by some Blooms & Bliss DSP in Sweet Sugarplum (along with a bit of retired sparkly ribbon).

March is a busy birthday month for me so here are some cards I made for grandkids birthdays this month and next . . . . . thinking they won't check my blog so it's okay to share with you now! I used Cupcakes & Carousels DSP paper stack for the backgrounds on one, Party Animal DSP for another, and Succulent Garden on the third . . . . all perfect for celebrating birthdays! And did you notice the "debossed" Celebrate on the one card??  Those new folders make an indented impression on your cardstock - perfect for adding another bit of texture!

If you want to make these cards too, then check out my Shop Now button on my blog, click this link to my 24/7 shopping link, or send me an email or message to help you order . . .  any option lets you get the products you need to create your own cards and isn't that what you want??

While you are checking the shopping, take a look at the special price for paper Pumpkin during Sale-a-Bration - you can get a three month subscription on sale, and qualify for a FREE Sale-a-Bration product of your choice  . . . . as long as you order by March 31st!!

AND be ready to get the super special April kit designed by our CEO Sara Douglass! You won't want to miss this one for sure! Get more Paper Pumpkin info here or ask me about the three month subscription sale on until March 31st!

Happy Stamping!

It's February and time to share some "Love" (cards, that is)!!

Hi everyone - it's that time again when we want to share the "Love" and what better way than by making some cards to give and some fun treat bags to share?

We had a great time last weekend with all our friends who stopped by for the Catalogue Launch party - thanks to each of you for taking time from your day to visit and create some fun cards and play with our new Watercolor Pencils!

We were so busy playing that I forgot to get you to fill out a draw slip so I made a numbered list at the end, and asked Juanita to give me two numbers . . . and the winners are:

Georgia - who wins the awesome Pretty Pocket Card Kit from the Sale-a-Bration brochure - this kit is FREE with any $60 purchase so why not fill out your wish list (order here) and pick the kit for you to make up??

and Rebecca - who wins a gift package of paper and embellishments from the Falling in Love suite of products - the papers are so soft and romantic - perfect for cards or those special layout pages you want to scrapbook!

Congrats ladies - your gifts will be with your order when it arrives!

Here's the cards each person made - the first was using the Inside the Lines paper, and colouring small areas with the Watercolor Pencils and Blender Pens . . .  the card on the right was sponged with some soft colours . . . a pretty option when you don't want to colour!

. . . . . the next stop was making a treat holder using the Sending Love Designer Paper Stack from the Occasions Catalogue. With 6 sheets of each design (48 sheets total), it is easy to make a bunch of these to take to co-workers, for sharing with school friends or wherever you want to spread some "Love" with a bit of chocolate . . . and look at the pretty card you can make with only a few products! Want to make these "origami style" treat holders (no adhesives required) or the card? Send me a message and I will send you the plans!

Our third, and most popular station was playing with the "Beautiful You" Stamp Set and the many different ways to add colour using the new Watercolor Pencils to these gorgeous designs . . .  I see some fun classes with this set in our future!

If you are looking for an easy way to add some crafting time into your busy schedule, why not try our Paper Pumpkin kits? They are delivered to your door every month (you can skip a month if you will be away) and right now they are on sale during Sale-a-Bration PLUS the 3 month pre-paid order will give you a FREE Sale-a-Bration item! I can help you set up your subscription and the best part is you can order previous kits once you sign up! Check it out here and take a look at the January kit - it is perfect for those Valentines treats you know you want to make! The Pinterest link gives you lots of options if the kit project idea is not what you want!!

Looking forward to seeing YOU at my next event - so much fun to try out all the new products and see if they will fit into your way of crafting!

Happy Stamping!
